1st Annual Black Friday Fun Run
The event started out as a community service project for 7th-grade student Jared Miller, who wanted to help raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey by organizing a fundraiser run. Going into the first event on November 28, 2012, our main goal was to have at least 75 participants and donate $750. When the day came, we were blown away by the amazing turnout. We donated $3,022 and 132 participants attended the event. This picture captured the start of the first annual event.

2nd Annual Black Friday Fun Run
The 2nd annual event had exceeded expectations as well with 175 participants and over $4,400 raised for Special Olympics New Jersey.

3rd Annual Black Friday Fun Run
The 3rd annual event was plagued with a bitter cold and yet it still had such a great turnout. There were 222 people who had decided that having fun while supporting an amazing organization was worth putting on a jacket for. These participants helped raise over $6,200 for Special Olympics New Jersey. Also, a big thank you to our first ever sponsor, Compliance Architects Inc.

4th Annual Black Friday Fun Run
This year's organizer, 10th grade Robbinsville High School student Jared Miller, decided to get more teens involved with organizing the event. He gathered a group of students from the RHS Play Unified club in order to assist in the event's planning and preparation. With the assistance of our helpers this year, we raised over $7,100 for Special Olympics New Jersey and had 291 participants, our biggest Fun Run yet! We had 4 sponsors, as well as many door prize donors.

5th Annual Black Friday Fun Run
The 303 participants who came out to the event helped raise $10,013 for Special Olympics New Jersey. As always, a huge thanks goes out to all of our event sponsors, donors and participants. Without you, we would have never raised over $30,700 for Special Olympics in the past five years.

6th Annual Black Friday Fun Run
Over 260 participants helped raise $9,000 at this year's event.  This year also marked the end of Jared Miller's amazing success with the Black Friday Fun Run as he heads off to college.  In 6 years he has raised $39,700 for Special Olympics.  The event is being left to new executive director Josh Lichtenstein and a very skilled executive committee.  Also, a big thank you to Jon Breyta who is also going to college next year.  He has served a very important role helping Jared for many years.

7th Annual Black Friday Fun Run
145 Participants came out to the 7th Annual Black Friday Fun Run to bring the seven years' total to $42,500. The event was highlighted by the events newsest sponsors, Ability Tree NJ and Mosquito Authority, and the return of the first graduated class of the Black Friday Fun Run which included Founder, Jared Miller, and long time executive member, Jon Breyta.
